Lifelong learning has many benefits. It can improve your skill set or knowledge of certain subjects as well as show intrinsic motivation. A 2020 Study by Pew Research categorized two main types of adult learners. One is the the professional learner, someone who learns to improve their skill set in their profession. The second category are those who sought to advance their knowledge in something more personally interesting to them. They found that both groups benefited intrinsically or in a very concrete manner, such as acquiring a certificate.
